The postgraduate MBA Aviation and Tourism Management study programme is designed for those who want to go higher in the world of aviation and tourism.
The course of study is based on essential areas of corporate management with special focus on aviation and tourism as seen from the perspective of the sector’s key players. The great flexibility by studying part-time within the four semester programme enables you to further combine the relevant corporate practice from your company and the theory learned at the Frankfurt University. You also have the opportunity to study at our partner universities: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (European campus), University of Huddersfield (UK) and University of the Aegean (Greece).
Through small class sizes and English as the language of instruction you will be able to interconnect with students and enterprise representatives in an international environment. After completing the MBA Aviation and Tourism Management study programme you will be equipped with the skills necessary to hold an executive post in an international company. The MBA Aviation and Tourism Management also qualifies you to enter a university PhD degree programme.

This study program was created for current and future executives with an international outlook who wish to improve their career chances. Typical participants are already working in the aviation sector – for airlines, airports, air traffic control organisations, forwarding and handling agents, integrators, aircraft manufacturers, service companies and consultants. The course is also of interest to executives in professional associations, high ranking civil servants and specialists working for government agencies at a regional or national level.
International applicants are welcome. In order to make things easier for students based abroad, the programme is organised in two presence blocks with a total of 23 days in semesters 1–3. To prepare students for international assignments this programme is conducted in English.
Please note that the programme is also open to persons holding a non-business degree, e. g. engineers, natural scientists, mathematicians, social scientists and members of the legal profession.
Professionals with a minimum of 5 years work experience and no first academic degree can qualify for the programme by taking an extensive aptitude test.

You will benefit from different didactic methods that apply and extend your know-how and skills, including teamwork, expert lectures, online/offline self-study phases, work practice, role play, presentations and research papers.
You will conduct a 360° Feedback and define your individual learning target. The 360° Feedback is a method and tool that includes performance feedback from your supervisor, peers, subordinates and customers, as well as a self-evaluation.
